Actually I think the requirement of HL2 is not too high...here is the spec requirement from gamespy.com :

"700 MHz PC with 128 MB RAM and a DX6-level video card"...

Well on minimum spec it isn't really going to look too much like the preview videos you have seen. I can almost guarantee that the ragdoll physics will also be turned down, if not fully off on a minimum spec machine in order to be playable.

Yeah, You'll most likely have to sacrifice somthing. But still, those physics look cool. Just watching that skeleton flapping around the air is cool.

Yeah, those are the physics for Half-life 2. This is from a press release of their main page.

14th May 2003, San Francisco - Havok physics is at the heart of the eagerly awaited Half Life 2 from Valve Software.
Anybody else try throwing the skeleton up into the air?

I throw it up and shoot it to see how long I can have it stay in the air. .

LOL, this is just too cool. It's fun throwing him up in and air and trying to get him to land on the platforms, making him kick himself in the face, and shooting out his legs so he dances. hehe.

I wish there were other things like this with better camera angles and rooms. Would be fun just tossing dummies against walls, off buildings, and into trees.
