Maybe you could get higher if you had like 2 connections and merged them but I've never heard of anyone dong that here with fixed wireless.
I have read about at least one person (not business) doing it with fibre in a major city though, to get speed at least 200mbps or more (but that was a few years ago now).
My current provider offers better speeds but the pricing is bad. They've been upgrading their service in some areas but mine is probably near the bottom of the todo list and the pricing isn't much better.

My speed is just awful, I'm still running 156kpbs. The highest steam downloads at is 1.1Mbps according to its download speed. It took me seven days to download GTA V.

Looks like 1fichier has about 6mbps dl speed, for me anyway.
I haven't dl'd anything bigger than 4GB iirc so idk if it would ramp up any faster with a larger file

My old 1.5mbps speed cost me around $15aud for many years. I kept putting off upgrading but after 10 years (or whatever) of that crap I just couldn't deal with it.
Current connection isn't cheap but it definitely isn't killing me, 50mbps = $60aud but the first 6 months it was $50aud.

I need a download manager that can deal with password protected downloads, 1fichier and a bunch of other hosts etc.
Is there a clean version of JDownloader installer somewhere or something else that works like it? Any help please?

I used to use FDM way back and it was pretty good.

I think Ragnar has a link for Jdownloader in his noob guide that's in his sig.

I think that is. You can skip the link protector by copying the text instead of the hyperlink.

The current pricing for mine is something like $40/$60/$80/$100+ for 3/6/8mbps. I believe the upgraded options are $60/$80/$120 for 10/30/100mbps. The pricing is too much for the service but they know they can get away with it; since it's dial-up, them, or satellite. I think the only reason the satellite providers or my current are bothering to upgrade or change at all is because they're competing with each other.

I'll be sticking with the basic plan until something better comes along for the same cost or less.

I thought prices would be cheaper than that, being the US. But I guess big country and outside of a major city equals higher prices over there too.

    Thanks.
Installed ok. Has shitty rapidgator premium ad up the top right even though this is meant to be "ad free"
Took a bit to start up though, was stuck on rebuilding plugins or whatever for a minute or two.

    The ad keeps changing, ffs.
This hasn't automated anything (well, I guess I can make a download list) and it seems the dl speed is about half of what I see though FF.
No wonder I gave up on this crap and went back to torrents

Figured out how to add download password but looks like I need to manually add it for each link, instead of adding and saving one for the host.

I thought there was a plugin for automating passwords but it seems it's only for auto-extraction.

Pretty much. I'd consider switching back to satellite if I only wanted to download.
