Yeah, the BC interior has been socked with this shit from Washington and Oregon for weeks apparently. At least the first smoke specifically hitting Vancouver drifted in from the ocean, there's a mass cloud over the ocean from coastal winds dragging all this shit out there.

Yeah it's even worse here today than yesterday.

I actually laughed out loud when I stepped out of work yesterday, I looked up and couldn't even see where the sun should be.

Well...The house from yesterday didn't work out but saw another house for rent nearby that we're going to call about tomorrow...Crossing my fingers for this one.

Have they got any estimate on fatalities yet? I mean do they have some idea of how many people are missing, or is everything a bit disorganised?
You guys are having a really bad year what with virtually 200k covid casualties (although I suspect it's actually higher than that, like the UK and many other places).

Welp, Starwars Squadrons will be out in a couple of weeks. Looks like it could be a pretty good game. I hope the map sizes aren't super tiny like in the modern Battlefront 2 which were just atrocious. And that the game isn't horribly short too.

Looks like they may have incorporated some small elements from the old X-wing/Tie fighter games like power settings to shields front and back and engines and weapons. And I'm not a fan of first person only - I like to see my ship.

Still think I may get this on release though. Been a long time since we've had a proper Starwars flight game (which I hope it is)

Haven't played in ages (again lol) should give it another go but I think last time I left everything damaged and no ammo

I stockpiled a bit of ammo for a few guns, but the storage limitations in the game are very restrictive. That's probably the main thing that I don't like about it, the other being most of the time I encounter enemies their level is pushed way above mine (not just a few levels) because some uber buff player is nearby, which seems to happen all the time. So yeah heaps of ammo is needed because I'm always dealing with bullet sponges

I guess it might be better if you team up with at least one other player, I've noticed some people doing that (one player higher than the other).

With my base I had an issue for a bit where some players were coming in and stealing my water
Laid some floor spikes around and it was funny watching people walk through them.

Don't think I've ever had that problem. Least not that I can recall.

My base is in a pretty obscure location overhanging a cliff - every time I spawn there I fall through the floor half to my death because the base hasn't fully loaded yet. I should probably move it.

And yeah the equipment amount you can store is horrid.
