I upgrade to win10 some time ago, this lappy is pretty old and actually runs better now.
I don't play games on it though.

I could do the Windows 7 to Windows 10 upgrade. I'm just afraid of Win10 deleting my files not related to installing a new OS. I guess I could always install Win10 on a different HDD.

Is win10 still free. I know it's been quite some time when they were doing that.

I always do a clean install. All the files and clutter build up over the years.
I shouldn't have said "upgrade" as it implied that I upgraded, I didn't.
I used a modded x64 enterprise install disc with a lot of M$ crap disabled (and removed in some cases) to improve the OS.

Backup all important files to an external HDD.
In FF make a backup of your bookmarks etc, that way you can restore it all on a fresh install.

No reason not to do a clean install really Your PC will seem brand new that way.

Yeah, I download everything into a 10TB external hard drive in case I have to reinstall Windows on my gaming PC but I use Linux most of the time for everything else.

GoldenEye 007 XBLA has been taken down on archive.org.
Loads of people have it already though and it isn't a massive size so it's easy enough to share around privately even more

I've read posts, other places, some people are a little shocked...

    "archive.org removes files?"

Partition your HDD and dual boot 7/10.

If you've got an old large external with psu, say around 2TB, open it up and pull the usb board.
    Use it without the caddy/enclosure.
Salvage desktop HDD's from discarded PC's.

I do occasionally buy a large external drive (last one I got was 8TB for my XB1) but mostly I reuse old drives 500GB-2TB both desktop and laptop types.
Sources are old desktops, laptops, PVR's. All ewaste.

How was your Valentine's Day? I bought myself chocolate and ate it while watching stuff on Netflix.

My Valentine's Day was eh. I'm single so. Also, yeah I plan on getting some external and internal HDDs. Roms and such take up a lot of space and I want to have different OS on different HDD. Win7 on one, Win10 on another.

Right now I'm dumping some 360 debug and pre-release stuff on an old 500GB desktop drive. If it gets nearly full I'll start using another drive.
Using it via a psu powered usb adapter I ripped out of a 2TB seagate external.

Also dumped some 360 RGH rips onto another drive (1.5TB).

For vids I have a collection of around 6 drives, most are in enclosures but one isn't. I think all up that's around 12-14TB or something like that.
