The Oct 2019 - Oct 2021 Out?

Maintaining a modern Windows 10 computer is quickly becoming as painful as setting up a DOS machine was.
The last update turned all of my fucking videos green, broke programs and vital settings that I had set up to make this POS use-able.
Not to mention it seems to be running hotter than normal.

My brother complained about it because recently he switched over to it. One night it nagged him wanting to update, and he hits "no" because he's doing stuff. Shortly thereafter it's like "lol, who cares that you clicked no, I have an update and I'm rebooting now" and just shut down on him out of nowhere.

I've never been a Linux guy, but I think if I want a modern OS I'm going to need switch over. It looks competent at least, and Windows and Mac are both trash.

I'm not long to make the switch myself. I only recently found out that the software I use for PCBs and a couple IDEs have been released for Linux.
The only reason I have it right now is because my last laptop quit powering on and there was literally nothing else I could buy at the time.

I literally don't use Windows for anything besides a file manager. I use a few programs 'on' windows, sure, so why does the experience have to be so painful?

If you bought a win10 PC and just use it as is after maybe uninstalling some OEM junk and possibly fiddling with some settings then you're doing it wrong.
You really need to do a fresh install even with a brand new PC.

With a recent update I got, OneDrive installed itself, so I removed it.

So yeah, ps5 looks stupid. Vertical only...? Just like I argued about the xboxsexbox, ain't no one got room for that. I can't justify a brand new media center because the damn thing don't fit.
