Yeah we test and tag electrical stuff, it's store policy. If it's mains powered and can't be tested (so it's safe to use) it can't be sold in the store.
If a relevant psu isn't available sometimes we keep a few things around until we can test them properly, but usually that's like a launch Xbone or a Gamecube etc. PS2 slims get turfed a bit (no psu), a lot of fat PS2's get turfed because the laser is dead.
I got a SFC untested a while back for virtually nothing as it was deemed rubbish (works fine). Got a few original Xbox consoles here that have DVD drive issues that were getting binned but they're otherwise ok.

Game carts usually just get sold on the assumption that they work if we don't have the console on hand, but yeah they're given a quick clean so they're more presentable.

See my retro post. The Atari 2600 Jr cleaned up the best out of the lot imo, but the factory clear plastic still left on the badge strip helped with that

That's sweet, you can just temporarily pop in a working drive (whilst checking for the leaking cap) and give them a quick softmod, and never care again about the dead drive.
*PSA* Wii Redump collector's can now unscrub ISO files. So scrubbed games can now be verified. You can find the program to do this here

I'm looking for an English friendly list of Japanese Sega Mega Drive carts.
A list that also takes region switching into account (that is, carts with rom that can switch between Japanese and western versions).

Yeah I know I can load up a heap of roms in an emulator and have a look myself, but I want a list so I can look for a cheap cart to import. Not after a specific title as such, just any game that I might actually play instead of just random sports trash.

I live in the same state where the Corona Virus broke out in the U.S.

I'm certain I've had coronavirus in the past because I was hospitalized with an "unknown virus" twice, there've been times when I was barely able to breathe from a really bad 'cold' before.

There are lots of different strains of Corona from the common cold to sars so it could have been anything really.

No matter what plagues or pandemics threaten to kill us, it's a good thing you only live forever.

I think since this year's strain of flu is deadlier than the coronavirus that we should no longer shake hands and exchange vulcan salutes instead henceforth. Some traditions are just too unsanitary and spread diseases, it's high time we no longer shake hands.
