Does anyone else feel that the Dock for the Switch feels kinda cheap and flimsy. Usually Nintendo makes pretty durable hardware.

Nintendo used to make durable hardware, but not no more. Now they make profitable hardware. They didn't even bother fixing the Switch stick drift issues when they made a system redesign that permanently attached the problem controllers to the system.
*PSA* Wii Redump collector's can now unscrub ISO files. So scrubbed games can now be verified. You can find the program to do this here

Good point. The Switch just seems flimsly compared to the durable hardware Nintendo used to make. Its a damn shame.

I disagree. I am very pleased with the switch's hardware durability.
The software is a different story though. I don't think that the sticks are inherently bad; rather, the software reading the analog inputs is janky. The software team needs to add a deadzone threshold to the calibration tab to get rid of drift, but drift isn't the only problem. Mine rarely drift in fact, but the left sick infrequently quits accepting inputs entirely for seconds at a time which may... be a hardware issue. They are still durable in a sense that they are not "flimsy."

Nintendo has always made "profitable" hardware. I can't speak on the switch, but Nintendo has always made money on each console sale. M$/Sony have been known to under price consoles in hopes of making money on the software sales.

It is disappointing to compare the DS4 with Joycons though since Dual Shocks are perfect in every aspect.

Anything with a built in battery isn't perfect, and the DS3/4 are terrible to reassemble. All the DS controllers aren't comfortable for large hands.

I've got a Hori PS3/4 that's more comfortable (slightly larger). Stick placement is like Xbox.

I don't have huge fat hands but I do have long digits. Small controllers give me cramps from prolonged use.

Well I will agree that the joy-cons feel durable. I just got my Switch, so I haven't noticed any drifting. I also take pretty good care of my things.

Also Merry Christmas. Its still Christmas Eve here where I live.
