Paypal gifting doesn't work now, well between most places anyway. I mean it isn't free.

Just try it if you want, but don't be surprised if you get hit with a $1 fee. It's either the sender or the receiver that gets it afaik.

I think it's still reasonably priced for Americans. But yeah, for an international transaction there's a minimum $1 fee.

Here in Canada we have e-transfers. A simple bank to bank transfer that sends money to the receiver simply based off their email address or phone number. 100% free assuming you have a bank account that isn't trash (I have a free savings account I use for it that doesn't even have any balance requirements or anything). I really don't understand why this thing hasn't taken off worldwide, Paypal is a cash harvesting scam.
*PSA* Wii Redump collector's can now unscrub ISO files. So scrubbed games can now be verified. You can find the program to do this here

That's why I said it doesn't really work between most places. Most of the world's population obviously lives outside the US, only some Americans think otherwise

TD is fantastic for it imo. Not that I've been with any other banks mind.

My Vancity account charges like a buck or something silly for every transfer sent. I don't know why anybody would use them like that.

Numbers are the language of the universe and I did math for an asshole of FB today who tried to claim that our "technology" .
If the current exponential rate of our bell curve suddenly became linear today, meaning yesterday's deaths of 268 stayed at 268 today instead of increasing (as it will) then it will take 6.8 days to break China's 4% of Corona deaths. China only has 4% of their positive corona cases remaining to either parish or recover while we have 97-98% remaining. With a number like that, it will be a miracle if our deaths stop at 4% in total. A literal exception against all fact and reason.
Looking at it another way, we currently have lost 4.19e-6% of our total population while China has lost 2.4e-6%. And like I said, they're virtually done with the virus. We have far more cases than China, only a quarter of the total population and even had months of foresight. So tell me one more time how our health care is superior.

NO. DL, WE HAVE TO SACRIFICE GRANDMA, SHE'S WORTH AT LEAST A 4 POINT BUMP ON THE DOW JONES DAMN IT.

Why stop there? Whatever happened to tossing a couple of virgins in a volcano? Surely, that will help boost the economy too? Party of Pro-life my ass.

Ofc, let's not forget the fact that NO ONE IS BEING TESTED in the U.S., People think we'll have this under control by mid-April here, the reality being, that that will probably be the first incubation bloom for us in the U.S.

Easy peezy. You just need to reach a 99% infection rate in the next 4 days. Then the country full stops for 2 weeks while the weak sissy's vomit and die, and the real manly men will pull through. Hell the real manly men probably won't even need to stop working, so they'll run the country for 2 weeks.

My state is starting to issue fines for people not maintaining a 1.5m distance in public (social distancing guidelines). Indoors it's 1 person per 4 square metres.
For an individual I think it's something like a $1600aud fine.
There's a heap of stuff you aren't meant to be doing atm but some people still aren't listening. I'm not going to list everything prohibited but the ADF is being used to help police now.

    Edit:
Oh I just checked the fines...
From today, police can issue on the spot fines for anyone who is not following the directions of the Chief Health Officer including up to $1,652 for individuals and up to $9,913 for businesses.

Under the State of Emergency people who don’t comply could also be taken to court and receive a fine of up to $20,000. Companies face fines of up to $100,000.

From what I understand it doesn't float around active in the air for days or whatever.
