if you know how to run old dos games, such as dragons lair or crusader: no remorse, please post and tell me the steps on how to make them run under windows 98 second edition.

The same way you run regular programs.
You install them. Run the config program; (Sound Blaster 16 and General Midi are usually the best options along with VGA graphics)
If it's still causing problems then you could also try rebooting in dos mode.
