    Default N64 power supply

i am not sure if this is the right place to post this, but ive been looking all over the net and am hoping someone here has some info i can use. I am building a portable n64. It has been done before. but the amount of info available isnt much. so far all i can find is how to build a portable NES, Atari, and PSOne. what i want to know is, how can you hook up a battery to the deck. i found the pinouts for the power on the main board. if anyone has any info, please tell me.

How small would constitute 'portable'? If you are making a handheld version of the console, there is little information I can render.

te console, hopefully, will end up slightly larger than the board itself. im thinking about 7"X8". almost the size of the DC, but about an inch not as thick. it will have a 3 to 4 inch lcd and an intigrated controller along with power input, A/V out, and 4 controller ports

That doesn't seem very portable to me. Why don't you just trim off the bulky aesthetics with a power sander and add an LCD display?

Well, I would use a PSU, not a battery. Buy a replacement N64 power supply if needed (or maybe a PSX power supply) and strip off the metal casing. That should save a significant amount of space. Just be careful where you place the stripped down PSU in the case. It could easily short out if it made contact with the board.
