Oh... My design is only a frame and black background...!
i mean... you know whats worse??? to not even have a site!!!! and thats what i have.. NOT A SINGLE SITE TO MAKE!!!!
To be a webmaster.. hmm.. shouldn't you be asking me ?
Well, to be honest, there are good things and bad things. And although the good things are really great, the bad things are HORRIBLE. For one, you just get this Great feeling of being really powerful if you have a community on your site (message boards, chatroom, etc.). But all that hasn't happened to me, I just feel really proud that so many people visit emuparadise.org and also so many people like it. There are more flames I get in a day about broken links, etc. that there are encouraging ones, but I take even the bad stuff as encouragement, just thinking that yes, emuparadise CAN get better. So what I am trying to say is that, being a webmaster is tough job, involves a lot of dedication, hard work and TIME. But fortunately for me, I have great guys like Sarcast, Ganondorf, Cypher, Keener, Griever, and so many more helpful people like Revenged and realist in our chan. plus great idiots like Skinner8. So all in all, I just feel really proud that all these people are part of emuparadise and no matter how bad we are, we love our site..
A lot of hard work has gone into it and we like taking care of it and seeing all the goodwill we get from so many people...
That must be the longest post I have ever made, so I'll get outta here now..
Take care!!
damn, your not kidding. closing and everything!

Artistically, nothing compares. Web design is an outlet for emotion, personality, and artistic expression. I love working on web sites. When they are finally published, everything changes. There is nothing expressionistic about maintaining your site. It has high points but is mostly alot of work. It depends on the scale of the site. Simple web pages are easy to create and maintain whereas an emulation site is a constant struggle to please visitors, deliver fast-running servers, keep links working, and sometimes pay bills. But I wouldn't give it up for anything. So much satisfaction comes from a community like in a forum or chat.

Hah, i was mentioned in one of masj's posts! I HAVE THE PO --- ah...ill just shutup now.
Lol you are so funny Skinnie.
Magus is right, but that only usually applies to a personal site and when you want to work on a single particular theme, say about how much you love DballZ or something.
On a site like emuparadise.org the only way to make the site a success is to just add and maintain, which is the toughest part. We don't really lay much stress on design since people come here, download, maybe bookmark and go away. But we do like people to look around the site, etc
Anywayz, the more roms we have, the more visitors, it's as simple as that, but Magus, I TOTALLY agree with you since it is VERY difficult and TOUGH to keep your visitors pleased. Believe me!!
So, whatever you do, DON'T run an emu site . Just kidding. Oh well, whatever. It's fun, so you can try it, but mind you, you need LOTS of time and effort. So be ready for it!!
