Do You Hang Up On Advertisement Callers?

When I get popups, I close them, and when I get junk mail I throw it out, junk email I delete. When people call me on the phone to advertise to me, I hang up. >:</>|

I don't think I've ever bought something from an advertisement before...

I've never actually been called by a telemarketer...

It depends really. If no one else is home and I'm bored I mess with them. I would do stuff like say is your refrigerator running untill they hung up, or say hello Pizza Hut, will this be pickup or delivery, and If I get a spanish speaking one I just say uh...... chalupa. Those all work really well, so basicly I consider those free prank calls.

I dont say "hello" when I answer the phone, just toss out something.. lately I`ve been using "City Morg"(only in my language) or just yelling BOOM! than they hang up no matter who they are..

They always used to call @ like 7 in the morning or when i was watching tv, so i just used to tell them to piss off...

Not anymore tho... we went ex-directory.

I agree to a point, and if the person is polite and non pushy then I am usually kind towards them.

Kinds of telemarketers I will mess about with:

a) You have won a holiday
b) You have won a fitted Kitchen

Those types are all a con, as it usually involves you attending an awards ceromony etc So in the rare case I get those, then I will mess about with them.

I have had a few calls in the past from people doing surveys on the phone and actually have taken quite a long time answering questions. Though when one of them took 15 minutes with no reward, I was less than impressed! lol

if i remember correctly, if you hang up on a telemarketer, (like before they can talk) they'll put you on a call back list.

and like was said eariler, give the poor telemarketers a break. they barely get a break between each call. when you hang up the computer starts dailing the next number (so i hear). the poor sap can hardly take a breath.

I don't get called by them much 'cause my phone isn't in the phone book thingy. Even if they do call they wont get through 'cause I'm on the internet all the time. Yay.

If I'm not paying attention, I do, but otherwise I'll just say "She/He can't come to the phone right now."
