A Flipside thread: What game did you hate that everyone seemed to like?

Okay.
We've all heard about games that you liked but no one else did. But what about vise-versa. Is there a game that so popular, so phenominal...but you can't understand why, because you personally thought it sucked? I know what its like people.
I don't know if this has been already done or not.
If so...then SOOORRYYY....

Yay, chance to offend people GTA sucks, as does Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, any YuGiOh game and every Tomb Raider sequal (the first one was so-so). Those are just off the top of my head, I'm sure I can think of more.

Halo. I like the game... but I just like it. Everyone else loves it. It's not really Game-of-the-Year material in my opinion,m and for all the hype about it, was kind of underwhelming.

Chrono Trigger, Zelda on N64.. and some SNES sidescrollers I guess..
I didnt hate the games, but just didnt love and went tired quicK!!

The Genisis Madden games. I hear that people liked these, I just can't stand sports games.

every sports game(madden series, nfl 200x,...) with a few exceptions(blitz, nba hangtime, nba street 1&2) the entire final fantasy series(and yes i normally like rpgs), tony hawk 2&3, the list goes on

I'd have to agree with sports games also. Alternative sports, though, (Skateboarding, skiing, Mario carting , etc.) I usually like.

GTA! I bought Vice City, had fun for about two hours. I hate this game!...

The original PSX 'WWF Smackdown!' games. Everyone I know thought they were brilliant, I thought they were pathetic, just a poor man's 'No Mercy'. Too fast, too basic, too simple and too easy.

I've no idea about the PS2 editions, though 'Shut Your Mouth' is supposedly the best wrestling game out at the moment. I'm hoping that 'WrestleMania XIX' will surpass it though, purely because I have a GameCube, and can't afford a PS2 or X-Box..

firstly i don't get this yugioh business... i have hardly played the game but it's so ****... IMO

also zelda is really overated, i mean it's ok but i just don't like it that much and every1 seems to be obsessed with it...

wrestling games, i don't think simplistic is the annoying part it's just how they can use the freaking arrows in a totally 3D environment and expect it isn't frustrating as hell and yet ppl still like them *sigh* (the SNES 1's were funner)

also fighting games in general now... they r old and they never really were that good move on

I dislike GTA quite a numerousness. The radio is the only thing that makes it tolerable.

Tekken, it was nowhere near my favourite fighting game and it scored rave reviews from every magazine and everyone seemed to love it... And eh, any of the Tomb Raider games, over here everyone is obsessed with them and I found them nothing too special... So yeah.

The Tomb Raider series was okay, but you get the feeling it was milked...The FIFA series is utter ****e, they've hardly changed since the PSX days, the ISS series deserves to be the gamers no.1 football game....

And umm I didn't enjoy MGS too much......

Halo, i liked it but i guess i'm in the same boat with litbolt there, everyone else loved it but it wasnt anything spectacular to me
