    Default PC for play emulators.

Hello everyone, this is my first post in the forum. I bought a second-hand desktop pc. Its specs are:

Processor: Dual Core E6500 (2M Cache, 2.93 GHz, 1066 FSB).
    RAM: 2GB.
    Motherboard: Asus p5kpl-am se.

I want to emulate PS2, Dreamcast, Gamecube and Wii on that PC. And also play PC games, I do not need to play the most recent games, I'm fine with games from 2007-2011 (First Assassins Creed games, Street Fighter 4, Max Payne 3, Bioshock ...).

What should I add? is enough with that processor?, I want to add 2GB of ram, what graphics card should I put on that motherboard?. I'm not looking for the most recent graphics card, I'm looking for a card that meets the requirements for those emulators and games.

You'll have to check your power supply - chances are you'll have to use a low profile video card if you have some old Dell or HP etc. Either way you're not going to be able to run PS2 or Gamecube/WII games (on average - doesn't mean a few simpler games won't run fine) very well at all pretty much no matter what videocard you get. Even those PC games might be a stretch depending on what card you get.

If you want to squeeze out as much performance out of an old PC as possible you can dual boot into Lubuntu and run your emulators with Wine, the Wine API is currently more compatible with Windows 7 than Windows 10 is.

This, and that processor, nor even the upgraded RAM (4GB?) won't permit running some PC versions of those listed games, let alone console-emulated versions. You have to keep in mind the fact that the host device of an emulator must be several times more powerful than the device it is intending to emulated, since it must run and support its own demanded resources in addition to hardware it's pretending to be inside a software window.
