    Default How do you fix "unchecking the download action option for Open/Save"?

    Hello,

    I accidently unchecked the check mark to choose between opening and saving files to desktop and now it tries to open everything. How would I go about fixing this?

    If you are using Win98, all you have to do to enable the save or open box, is to check the box I have marked on the picture. Make sure you enable this on the same filetype that you unchecked the option on.

    And sorry about the screenshot, it's written in Swedish.

    EDIT: Sorry that I can't explain it better. I dunno what the different menus are called in English so I can't really give you step to step instructions. But hopefully you will find it with help of the screenshot.

    Thanks Crusher.

    I recognized the screen listing file type associations. And that pointed me to the right direction.

    For anyone interested, here's the process I went through in WinXP:

    Start Menu
    All Programs
    Accessories
    Windows Explorer

    In Windows Explorer:
    Tools Menu -> Folder Options
    File Type Tab
    (Scrolled down to zip)
    Chose Zip and clicked the "Advanced" button
    Checked the "Confirm Open after Download" button
