Can you use a silencer on energy weapons?
I do carry a couple of energy weapons but I mostly use those for loud combat in power armor. All the projectile weapons I carry are silenced, except the shotty.

Meh I've hardly ever bothered carrying a syringer.
The only fun thing about that is beserking enemies but out in the open it's possible to lead different enemies to each other anyway without it.

I carry a full loadout assigned to quick weapons. I always make sure that they're all a different ammo type too with one slot for frag grenades. It allows me to build up insane amounts of ammo if I'm careful switching weapons. I generally carry around 200 pounds of weapons and armor.

I'm not carrying anything in the way of armour atm. Reginald's suit, a cap and glasses to boost charisma.
If I need armor (or increased rad resistance) for a mission I grab power armor from my Sanctuary stockpile (X-01 mk IV with lead coating atm iirc).

I just wear raider type armor - almost everything has a unique boost 15% to this or 25% to that. Haven't bothered much with power armor yet but I have an X-01 helmet and chest piece so far. And about 50 fusion cores..

If you come across enemies (or even BoS neutrals) wearing power armor, sneak behind and vats the fusion core, if you do it right they'll have to eject it and you can salvage their pa frame (although it will be marked as stolen). If you kill an enemy (or BoS) wearing pa (dead lying on the ground) and they still have armor pieces equipped shoot the pieces until they disappear (zero health), they will then have zero weight.

Companions can use pa without fusion core.

I carry maybe 10 pounds of weapons. A .50 bolt-action pipe sniper, and the explosive plasma with beam splitter. A bunch of custom armor and clothes from mods brings the weight up to <90 lbs. I never use power armor because it destroys stealth. And, of course, whether I bring Dogmeat or Curie with I always have Heather Casdin with me.

The point of Syringer + Bloatfly Larva isn't "fun", it's spawning in more Legendary bloatflies for their drops. If you don't get what you wanted, load your previous save and try again. If you insist on being vanilla, you can still get plenty of legendary gear. And all the newly spawned bloatflies have a chance to drop more of the Glands you need to make more Larva ammo.
