    It sounds like it.

Honestly I'd have to start it up again to remember how far we were. We definitely hadn't picked up all the characters yet. We picked it up a little closer to its release. I saw the poster for it on the way out of Gamestop one day and it reminded me of the Bravely Default art so we went back to investigate. I'd just gotten Corey to play BD2 on the 3DS.

I remember gear being a big deal, and I upgraded it every time we got a chance. I was working on stealing some weapom from someone based on a guide, but I didn't actually have the requirements to steal from him.

It definitely picks up when you get all the characters.

There is an axe early on with a 3% steal chance, but you have to start the game with one of like 3 characters I think. It makes the early game a lot easier.

FF job system + Bravely BP combat thing and it's own stuff is this game basically. It's very well put together imo. You can't just mindlessly fight or even regular fights will kill you.

lol ninty home consoles haven't been cheap here since the days of the Wii.

Actually both Japanese brands are more stubborn with prices than M$. The only exception is the xbone X, but even that had a few ok deals recently (RDR2 release) that made the pro seem ridiculously priced...it was like around $50 (maybe a little less than that) more than the same PS4 slim bundle iirc.
    That's balls. Here Switch is $300 and Xbox One S is $250. Those are non-bundle prices. 500GB One S. 1TB is $300.

I got a solid deal on my Switch and used funny money. It was a return that someone had for one weekend and decided they hated it.

Yeah but $250au isn't the same as $250us

To get a better idea of prices you can get the S 1TB for $180us and the Switch is like $323us. Those would be the cheapest non-bundle new prices, the S would need to be a deal (which randomly pop up at different stores all the time) it isn't a normal price...the Switch never gets cheap deals.

When I got my S 1TB it wasn't even on sale, it was bundled with a few games and was $300au. But I traded a small amount of PS4 games (dupes) and got it around $200au.
JB HiFi have really good trade rates for a lot of games, they aren't price gougers like EB.

I found a sealed store display of series 1 x-files trading cards. They're worthless online so I just sat on the floor like a kid opening each pack one-by-one and giggling wildly.

Got a bundle of Magic cards recently but haven't bothered checking them, I assume they're worthless too.
I've got some VCD movie releases from work, they're worthless but I just can't resist checking out some junk like that.

    Which is $174us.

$250us for S 500GB seems a bit steep (going by Gyp's domestic price). Makes zero sense imo but whatever, M$ have always been pretty fair here imo.

Cheapest Switch here looks to be 379.99 just for the unit and no bundled games.

I'm not surprised Canadian prices are cheaper than here, it seems logical. US domestic prices for M$ stuff being higher makes no sense though.
