I guess they didn't want to include any Spyro/Crash games because of those remakes? But still could have done like Crash Team Racing/Crash Bash. And just a single Final Fantasy seemed odd to me.

FF VII, VIII & IX would take up too much space, you could end up with just those 3 games (if they can all fit) No DS games afaik because the classic only has a shitty launch type controller.

If it can be hacked it will probably need extra external storage so you can have loads of games, NES/SNES games don't take up all much space but PSX is CD based.
Who knows if anything can be done about no DS controller It's a serious system limitation.

True but I feel like the majority of the people that buy the classics are either collectors or one's that don't mess with emulation.

A lot of people here either mod them, or if they're clueless about such things get (or pay) somebody to add more games for them. Some people actually buy and sell them pre-modded.
I don't know of anyone that has a virgin classic tbh.

I was dead set against getting one originally but now I'm not so sure
I might just get one and leave it sealed, wait a bit and see if it can be hacked thoroughly to use external storage and usb PS3 controllers.

The only 2 games I'd have liked to see in the PSX Mini list were Vagrant Story and Legend of Dragoon. The list is ok considering they tried to cover many different game genres and they would never include games already remade or in the process to remake them. The PSX game library is so incredibly varied and vast it was almost impossible to please everyone unless they raised the number of games available to 50.

I think the psx mini is just a cash grab for the holiday, but I don't blame Sony. I do think the idea is cool and Im certin it will be a hacker's wet dream, but my PSTV plays whatever PSX game I want via HDMI with filters and DS4 support.
