The original design called for a 328PB running at 20MHz with two slave SPI's intercepting the two LCD data pins on the gameboy, however this would mean I need (2*160*144)/8 bytes of RAM for a video buffer, but the chip only has 2kBytes as opposed to the necessary 5,760 Bytes.

So while I test out code on slower microcontrollers, I am shopping around for something along the lines of the dsPIC33EV64GM002 with 8kBytes RAM, multiple SPIs and remappable pin functions as opposed to simple GPIO.

Are they even worth the investment? My old PS1 quit working 4 years ago; it would constantly reset whenever I'm in the middle of a game. Or should I just stick with my PS2 for playing the physical PS1 games?

There's no disc drive it's just pre-loaded with 20 games or so. You'd have to rip or download your own games. Pretty sure there's a hack by now for adding more games to it.

    I'd never get one personally.

Not really. It looks kinda cool though.
Yeah you can hack them to add some more games and using Retroarch on it lets you play other platforms. Retroarch PSX emu gives you better compatibility over the stock Sony emu iirc, plus there are more emu options and also controller options (eg you can use original dual shock controllers via usb adapter which costs about $1, I've tested DS1/2/3 myself).
Hardware wise it's just slightly better than the ninty mini offerings but not by much.

I haven't looked at the Sega mini so idk if that's any better or worse...the C64 mini is the only one I'd definitely like to get now, if I can find it cheap enough

N64 Mini Pro - Enhanced Version

This is an upgrade to my other N64 mini listing. The big difference here is that this N64 emulator plays *ALL* N64 games perfectly, with very little to no loss in frame rate. This computer has significantly better specs and is capable of emulating N64 better than any other SBC.

The N64 case is 3D printed, and the logo is hand painted by me. This model can come in red or original N64 theme, or any color scheme you want really.

PS1 lacks enough RAM to emulate much of anything, part of the reason Dreamcast was a mess was all the direct PS1 ports. That being stated having a large PS1 collection is definitely entertaining.

Walmart knocked them down to $30 like a week or 2 ago. Methinks the guy just wants to make $100 on his investment

IMO it's worthwhile as a fun toy if you can grab one on clearance. Keep in mind I'm talking about us getting them for $30 Canadian. That's more like $20USD. It comes with 2 controllers, which are missing analog sticks PS1's really should have, but otherwise have great build quality (umm, but the USB cords are fairly short though). At the clearance price it may be worth it just for the controllers.

Hi Ragnar, been fiddling with PAR files to corrupt the headers of files on purpose with a hex editor then repair them. It's very useful for anonymous uploads, am backing up ISOs for personal use because I'm using PAR on an EXE that unites split files and other people might not trust the method used.

It looks like it was 3d printed and then melted.

I like that I didn't need to tell you how to do what I'm doing I've had a small pile of people ask me exactly how I do my files up so they can do it too, and I take the time to write them through the process, and then they
