I'd just jump to 5 if you haven't played it. Controls are a bit better than 4 but still follows the same premise. Still have to stop in order to shoot but at least they're laid out much better (like the sticks) You can move and shoot in 6 but not run and shoot. I also love the melee actions in 6.

I'd say neither. It's more of a 3rd person action game with a squad as I recall - you'll probably like the controls way better as they're a more standard shooter type. It's just not terribly well made imo.

yeah think that's what I'm gonna do. I tried but I just can't get back into that game. might even do revelations if it's better on ps3 I played it on 3ds but it really needs the circle pad pro to be played well.

I wasn't big on Revelations myself. Dead is a fan though.

I've played a bit of Revelations 2 and thought it was better. Not by a whole lot though.

Rev 1 I didn't like initially but after a while I really liked it.
Yeah 5 can be an annoying game if you're playing solo. You need gold edition for the extra missions.
6 is fine, plenty of characters to play through just with the basic game.
