It's counseling for kids dealing with gender dysphoria and the mental issues that can cause (like suicidal depression), and thanks to the bigoted societies we live in, charities like Mermaids is one of the few places they can actually get any sort of help. Being trans is similar to being gay or bi or the like; you don't choose to have a different gender identity, you just do, and figuring that out and living as your true self is the healthiest option overall, whether you decide to transition one day or not.
If you have a problem with that, I don't even know where to begin.

How about actually voting plus pushing for some changes? I'm sure trans kids (and other people without private health cover) would have improved mental health if they were aware of people trying to change the system to provide support.
A system that doesn't provide care and support for those that actually need it is borderline oppressive. If all else fails it seems like a perfect opportunity to bear arms.
