Mercenaries for the og Xbox should be free in a few days so I suppose so - I'll see if that works when it does.

Only thing close is EB games for used 360 games and they're almost always garbage, like old sports and kinnect titles. Not to mention the store itself is one of the worst I've seen and that's saying something

I live in a small country town, the closest city (only just over 100k people) is about 15 minutes drive.

There are 2 EB shops in the city, several Salvos stores and 1 Cash Converters. There are some other places but those are the only ones I bother with.
EB stock for old games changes pretty quickly, so yeah there will be a fair amount of bs titles but the good stuff is snapped up asap so you have to check first thing in the morning at least a couple of days in the week.

I get a lot of stuff from work so I usually don't have to bother with EB, but it's also good to look at their prices...stuff like MGS HD collection fetches a premium price now, but there are plenty of ok bc titles that you can get on deals (4 for $20 or 3 for $15au)...Sniper Elite V2 basic, Silent Hill Downpour, DAO basic, Mafia II basic, all of the Mass Effects, heaps more.

I live in a city of over 600k and the greater area being 2.5mil. I moved out to an edge of suburbia though at the beginning of the year - I used to be smack middle of downtown. Ew. Point being it can take awhile to get anywhere and that's with very decent transit too.

Still too much for DA2 seriously though the mouse and keyboard controls are shit so I still might if I come across it. Or just actually take the time to carefully map things to the controller.

I agree, but the point is that it's one of those games you can get on a deal. SH Downpour can still fetch between $12-18 via ebay, so if you get that for $5 on a deal you've saved money.

I have little interest for Silent Hill but I see what you're getting at. Don't think there are many games left from last gen I want to try out either. I was thinking Bayonetta if I can find it. Kinda want to move forward too with newer stuff. Old emulation not withstanding of course

Gets expensive for newer titles. Cuts into my beer fund

Next one will probably be the remake of RE2 next month. Kinda wondering about the N. Sane trilogy too but it's still to expensive for what it is. Should work on my pc but the settings would be quite low.

Newer titles you need to restrain yourself, it all gets cheaper.
That way you can get more titles for the same money.

Bayonetta is a $5 title. Not worth that at work, and on ebay it might be more. EB prices can be funny for last gen stuff, some are more but then if head office marks something for the deals bin you can get it cheaper than the general going rate.
