    Default bit torrent help

Ok, I don't know if this can be done or not but I am going to ask.
I want to know if I can put a cap on the upload speed bit torrent uses. Don't get me wrong, it's all about sharing but my internet connection is capped at 15 and bit torrent uses all of it. I know it is supposed to be tit for tat but when I upload at my maximun then it leaves no room for the upload bandwidth I need so I can download so I get like 3k/s. The way I see it, that is not tit for tat. The problem is that when bit torrent is doing that it makes everything I do on the internet realy sloooooooooow. I feel like I am on a 56k (no offence to those who are). Takes for days for even a simple webpage to open up. So all I want to do is cap what BT uses so I can keep a couple k/s for myself. Also becuase I am on a router I share the internet connection with my dad and it's not fair to make his internet slow just because I am uploading so much.
So, it there a way to make it so that BT uses no more than lets say 11 or 12 k/s of my 15 so that I can still use the internet? It is completely ok with me if that also means that I can't download any faster than I upload especially since currently I am uploading twice the speed I download at.

There is a client around that allows you to specify the upload speed - I will have a look around for it later (if someone doesn't post it in the meantime that is).

Hey guess what I was searching for it and I found it. So now you don't have to look for it. You also get 5 stars for letting me know that such a thing exists.

Actually, several different people have experimental clients out there. I got one last month that allowed you to see exactly how much of a file you had downloaded, view the upload speed of all of the peers (as well as their IPs), and limit your upload speed.

And then just last week I got a new client that does the same thing, but add's a pause/resume option so I don't have to close down the window and find the link again to resume, I can just click a single button and then minimize the window to the taskbar for as long as I like. It is called 'Shadow's Experimental S-5.2'.

Run a search for it. I would give you a link but I got it from a site with warez.

EDIT: I found the link. http://ei.kefro.st/projects/btclient/
