Question Recommended size for Gamecube games?

I haven't been able to figure this out, but I've recently got some GC downloads, but I wanna make sure theyre the right dumps and storage is limited. I won't name site names for rule reasons.

My next game is Wario World, an NTSC-U dump, One site has it at 1.30 Gigabytes with a two part download, but this other site has it at 168 Megabytes, significantly smaller. But how would I know it is a proper dump based on that? Should I go with the 168 MB or the Two part 1.30 GB download?

Full size GCN images are 1.35GB. Small file size usually have padding to fill out the image, that's why they zip down to a small size.

Ah I see, I got one downloading as I write it, Its the 168 Megabyte one and its in 7zip format, Does that sound like a proper dump or is it off? I won't name the site for safety and site rules but I've generally gotten games from there just fine.

Usually they remove the junk content and pad the image to 1.35GB. You can have games that zip down to a few hundred MBs or less. They will expand back to 1.35GB once unzipped.

A couple of examples are the Game Boy Player Start-Up Disc. That zips down to around 1.65MB, Viewtiful Joe 2 zips down to around 594 MB.

Just extract your game and check the image size.

I extracted it and its at 1.35 gigabytes, and its a GCM file, alongside a normal txt document the site has.

Is GCM fine or does it have to be something else?

Strange, my GC/wii files are usually around 6-8gb once done.
