Default What would be a good emulator for Sonic CD?

I tried using an old Gens emulator for Sonic CD but it seems as though the quality is terrible as the sound ends up being bad. Still, I want to play this game and I want to have a good emulator for the experience. What is a good emulator for Sonic CD?

I've always wondered about this myself. Does anyone know why I don't get music on Sonic CD? Genesis GX is amazing but it only plays the sound effects. This seems to be true of many Sega CD games.

Kega Fusion is old dead and closed source aka a waste of time , Genesis Plus GX runs everything perfectly with accuracy unlike Kega Fusion.

Why Funshine Bear had issues is his image is most likely bad or has a incorrect cue.

Use the Redump release that I posted here in the forums with Genesis Plus GX and you will see what I mean.

Okay I found out what my issue was. Sega CD on Genesis Plus GX runs perfectly with music as long as the game has the bin/cue files. Sonic CD turns out is an iso and doesn't work right. For reference I'm playing this on my Nintendo Wii and I will check out that Redump, Warrior. Thanks.

    p.s. I'm a girl, lol

Glad you got it sorted, if you want to use it on PC or whatever really (like a Raspberry Pi) you can use RetroArch and it has the Genesis Plus GX core available.

I don't know how to use Genesis Core GX or Retroarch. I may need help with it.

Edit: I will try Kega Fusion but I need something that can Sonic CD without any sound issues.

Fusion runs Sonic CD without any sound issues.

@Warrior: I disagree about Fusion. Just because there haven't been new versions for years now doesn't mean it's a "waste of time". I think it's a lovely piece of software that does its work almost perfectly.
