    Title says it all

I need to figure out where and how on the psp memory stick i should he saving psp iso files and psx eboot files

I did some tests with PSP emulation as a test a few months ago. but i dont remember some things now.

I downloaded a bunch of psp eboots and some psp games from emu paridise

but i've got no clue what to do with them.

i have the custom firmware installed on the psp.

i turned on the psp and hooked it up to the computer.
extraced the games from the rar files.
then i compiled the psp iso that i was planning to test (final fantasy 4 complete collection

if it makes any difference i had the psp custom firmware active when i moved and extracted the rar files.

It's really simple. You just need to place your games in their correct folders on your PSP.

ISO (and CSO) files go in a folder named "ISO" in the root of your PSP.
Eboot's should sit in their own folders and get dropped in the "GAME" folder located inside the "PSP" folder.
*PSA* Wii Redump collector's can now unscrub ISO files. So scrubbed games can now be verified. You can find the program to do this here

    got it thanks

the eboots and isos that i've downloaded are in their own folders (just your normal game name sort of thing)

and the psx eboots were also inside a folder with the game id.

do i need to do anything about the game name folders? or was the problem just me activating the custom firmware before i had the games installed?

You don't need CFW running to install anything. "Installing" is just dropping the game files on the memorystick. You only need CFW on to run the games.

About the Eboot folder names, you might need to keep the specific folder names they came with. I don't really remember, it's been a long time since I've done anything with them.

Regardless of if you're on CFW or OFW, Eboots should show up on the XMB, they just won't boot up on OFW.

i was right i needed to take the isos out of their individual folders for them to be detected

and i only needed the game id folders for the eboots.

    i'm now ready to rock
