Question Expanding memory of PSP 1000

    Hi all,

I'm looking at expanding the memory of my PSP 100, which currently has a 2gb memory stick duo. Started using more ISOs so naturally want more memory. I'm torn between buying a larger MS Duo Card or using an adapter with a MicroSD Card. I'm sceptical about the MicroSD Card route as I'm concerned it may not work (compatibility issues etc.) - does anyone have experience with this?

I'm looking at this MicroSD Card with this adapter

    OR

Simply buying a larger MS Duo Card

Can you guys let me know what you have done and what your experiences/recommendations with expanding memory are??

    Thanks in advance
    Dan

I have never had a problem with micro SD cards, they all work just fine. Currently im using a 32GB micro SD card in an adapter. There may be a capacity limit, but I can't remember. You can Google that.

Get a dual adapter so you can run 2x micro SD cards.

In theory you should be able to use 2TB but idk if anyone has ever tried that (I mean if you could try that somehow). I've seen people say they're running 2x 64GB and 2x 128GB cards though.
I have two adapters but the largest cards I have are 32GB (so 64GB total).

The adapters are cheap so get 2 or more.

Do the adapters break easily or is it best to get 2 just to be on the safe side?

Also will I have any issues using a MicroSDXC in the adapter?

People have reported that they've cracked the adapters, yes they are thin so if you don't have sd cards in them you could easily damage them. I've got two myself but I've never damaged them.

I have micro SD cards in both adapters, one has 2x 16GB HC SanDisk other has 2x 32GB HC Ultra SanDisk. I use lite aka temp CFW (I have to, my PSP can't run perm) and my adapters have different CFW on them (6.60 PRO-C fix3 & 6.60 LME 2.3).

I don't know about XC cards I've never tested them.

Just get more than one to be safe, it might be cheaper to get 2 or more at once rather than getting more sometime down the track. They aren't expensive either way though.
