I've had a few NES consoles in the past, it got to the stage where you couldn't give them away. I suppose that goes for most old consoles now.

Might be a Chinese student or something like that? I know they go nuts here spending their parent's money, then sell it all off when they go home after finishing uni...cars too.

Most you see here up for grabs now aren't in good condition, stuff written on them, broken cart door, discoloured plastic and just generally filthy etc. The one I got recently was pretty good when I got it, had a couple of very small spots of something (maybe fly shit?) on top easily cleaned off, plastic is all nice. Just has a few minor scuffs here and there that you need to look closely to find and underneath has a anti-theft number (for insurance purposes I guess) engraved near the ninty sticker. It's a proper ninty 001 not a Mattel console. If they're good like mine, have at least one fully working genuine controller in good condition and maybe a couple of cheap games you can still get like $50 or more even without original box and packaging.

Seasonic's Focus and Focus Plus lines are solid units. They regularly go on sale and have rebates here, I don't know about Canada.
