Pretty sure it would be. My CPU is even lower than yours (E7500 2.93ghz 4gb ram) And was blown away at what I could run afterwards.

it has a new core for PCs, PCSX ReARMed, itil run fast as hell on a low ish end PC.

Mednafen aka Beetle Cores are accurate so they take a wee bit more CPU power, hell even my crappy laptop can play those just fine.

the internal Res if I remember right is handled by the CPU and not the GPU, its always best to ask the devs and other helpful dudes in the irc channel.

Il help you the best I can if you want to try it again.
THE BEST METHOD to run PSX games (and everything else for that matter) is via Retroarch - http://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/
If you have any questions on how to set it up on Windows please feel free to ask, its very easy.

Might finally give it a real shot myself - is there a complete package somewhere? I don't want to fuck around downloading extra shit/cores and junk.

give me your PC specs and il make you a "Lazy Mans Set"

Please don't go off like all the noobs I tried to help just because the GUI is different and you use the controller to navigate instead of a mouse.

I use a controller to navigate all the time. People have a problem with that?

Different programs for different needs. They're running an old C2Duo with no GPU, ePSXe is the better choice.

Not having good mouse support, for PC software, is plain dumb and lazy.

no need for a GPU for the normal Playstation cores, only need one for Beetle PSX HW.

BTW epsxe is absolute trash and is never the better choice.

Zal just needs to use the PCSX ReARMed core and it should run full speed, needs to give the vanilla Beetle PSX core a shot to to see how it runs.

That emoticon needs to be renamed to gobby . Feel free to outline the reasons why it's better instead of constantly giving RA lip service.

Only my dislike for RA . Unless it's a command-line program there's no reason not to offer proper mouse support for PC software.
