If you wanna cheap out you can get led type black lights on ebay for nearly nothing. They don't have the full range of a proper spec uv black light but they do the job in a dark area.
I use them for testing uranium glass.

It's actually better if they aren't full spec as using proper black light too much is bad for your skin.

We get plenty of sun here so I'd probably just go that way myself.
The cream sounds interesting but I really wonder how much of a cost difference there would be getting that & using cling wrap vs hydrogen peroxide 12% liquid & reusable zip lock bags In the bags + sun apparently works...I imagine whatever is in there would "sweat" so distribution shouldn't be an issue as long as you use an appropriate amount for the object.

Beauty products aren't cheap usually, even in bulk packs. Raw chemicals are usually cheaper and Dad spent most of his working life as an industrial chemist.

There are a lot of repro parts available if you don't mind going that way (sticker sets are usually the cheapest repros here iirc). Original parts will be expensive though (except maybe instructions I guess), and they nearly always need to be restored as well (if they can be).
Usually it'll be certain rare parts that are more expensive, including box and inserts which can't actually be restored really...

I had a look earlier and you should be able to get everything you need for your AT-AT. Not sure about the X-Wing, I think the foils breaking in some way is fairly common.

I never got into any of the more modern stuff tbh, but I did get one of those 40th anniv Kenner figures last birthday. Star Wars Luke Skywalker.
It isn't worth all that much but it was a nice thought, and the packaging certainly looks neat

Buddy of mine has the entire first run of toys - most of them pinned up in his bedroom in all their packages etc. years ago anyways. I've seen it in person. His Mom thought ahead I guess. I dunno if anyone remembers Matrix Holder from 15 years ago but that's who it was.

There's still a few. Cookie, Elmdor, Elin, Cosmic, Dave, Deach and screwed still pop in. Jackhammer may have been around when he was still posting too.
