No level/tutorial BGM on Jersey Devil (ePSXe)

I've signed up so that I may ask for help in regards to my issue.

I've finally got the game to work on my emulator, however the sadness began when starting actual game play, finding there is absolutely ZERO background music though there is sound effects, cutscene music and the like.

I'm running ePSXe 2.0.5 on Windows 10
Video: Pete's Open GL Driver 1.77
Sound: ePSXe SPU Core (plugin that came with the emulator initially)

I am curious if anyone's got a fix for this/suggestion for a plugin that works/might as well tell me off and go buy a physical copy.

P.E.Op.S 1.10b sound plugin seems highly recommended and fixes a lot of issues. You can download it here.
