    Default PS2 "swap trick" help

I'm trying to get some PS1 back-up games to play on my PS2 slim. I've burned the game image to CD-RW with the slowest speed available on my computer's CD drive, 8x. Tried swapping the disc with an original PS1 disc when it first starts to slow down... Nothing. I've tried with at least three different burnt games, always gets stuck on the Playstation logo. I assumed it was because I wasn't burning them slow enough, but people claim to have had success at even higher speeds. I'm starting to think it's because I'm using CD-RWs instead of CD-Rs, however nobody seems to be able to confirm this. As for my technique, I've followed all the guides and I've gotten pretty fast at it, so I don't think that's it either. I'd really appreciate some suggestions.

The media is probably the issue (CD-RW).

Hey, so what would you recommend using?

I've never used any swap trick but I would burn to CD-R and try that. There's always a chance whatever CD-R media you try to use could be problematic too though, cheap media causes many problems. Brand doesn't mean much it's who manufactured the disc.
