Default Iso default opening changed by error

Hi. I downloaded the iso of a gamecub game, I managed to launch it and play it with an emulator, everything went well until I changed the default launcher in adobe reader by mistake. I later put them in winrar to see if it will recover as before but no. The file iso is launched with winrar and become a Winrar file while retaining its ".iso". it marks me "the archive is damaged or its format is unknown" I do not know what to do.I reinstalled but the default program was changed so is always open with winrar.i tried to convert using software but the software tells me that it is not possible to convert because it is already in .iso.the problem lies in the default launcher.I ask your help

    Open WinRAR. Go to options/settings/integration

Look for "Associate WinRAR with" then untick ISO.

Not sure why you're using Adobe reader for a GCN game. I'm going to assume you have the Dolphin emulator. You can try to re-download your game.

Here are a couple of videos showing both Gamecube and Wii games.

Right click on the ISO, select open with, then choose default program. Browse to your Dolphin installation, and select the exe file.

Just open the file in Dolphin itself -doesn't matter what it's associated with. File - open and selct the game from wherever you have it. As long as the file extension is .iso, .gcm etc.. Dolphin will load it.

Edit: also get rid of winrar and install 7zip instead. It handles rars as well.

You can reset Dolphin to default and see if that works. There's no default button so you have to go to my documents => dolphin emulator => config - and delete the dolphin.ini file (or the whole config folder but you'll have to reset your buttons for a controller etc)

Or you can uninstall it completely and download the emulator again (it's small and will just take a second) If you do download it again I recommend going to their site and looking for Dolphin 5.0 - revision 5938 which has some slightly better compatibilty with some games (like rogue squadron)

There's also a slight possibility your gpu settings could be interfering but we'll put a pin in that for now. Reset to default first.

it worked very well the first time I started the game but once I changed the settings, it did not work anymore and dolphin crash. I uninstalled and reinstalled Dolphin. I tried on another version but it does the same thing. I put back the default controls and changed the changes I had made and dolphin continued to crash

Uninstalling Dolphin doesn't get rid of the config files in my documents I would delete the whole config folder in my documents\dolphin emulator (you'll lose any saved games unless you back them up) and then restart dolphin - it will automatically write new config files. Don't leave Dolphin running while doing it, close it.

Also right click Dolphin and choose run as administrator.

I'm just about out of ideas here.
