bratz forever diamondz black screen in psx2 issues

so i went through a whole 2 hour process downloading the game and figuring how to set everything up, only to have everything BUT the video work. when i open the psx2 application, i am able to open the game, but only the audio is there. i can't click anything as theres no video. please help

The game is not listed in the compat list for PCSX2 at all

You could try software mode though

Or you could go for the GameCube version instead and use Dolphin and the game is reported as working with Dolphin's compat list

i did that and it worked, but i think it downloaded the version of it for smaller devices like the ds. the ps2 version is the one i want, but it only lists the ds version of it for the gamecube.

This game was also released on PC.
