.img file is damaged and i cant open it with any program

So, I have recently downloaded both Persona 3 FES and Persona 4 from emuparadise, and both of them have the .img file which i cant open with any program that is supposed to change it to the .iso file. I tried using CDmage with possibly every option, but I always get the message "File lenght doesnt match sector boundary" or (when opening it with raw) "Image type is different than assumed. Please select another type". Also, as a note, when I tried to open the .img file normaly it says that its damaged. Is there any possible solutions to this problem, if there is one please tell me.

2. IMG file should work with emulators, there should be no need to change it to .iso

I have already reinstalled it but the same thing happens

2 Which Emulator, plugin settings, and BIOS file are you using?
3 File names you extracted including file type
4 Does the file size you downloaded match the file size given on the download page?

And just to be clear, have you tried to run the game as is, from the IMG file?

1. Windows 10
2. PCSX2 1.4.0, basic plugins, Europe v02.00(14/6/2004)
3. There are a lot of files. Some of them are .cnf .cvm .irx .img and then just some random
ones like reginfo, comment, relmain, shstrtab and some others that are not specified
4. the file is 4.25GB, and on the download page it says 2.5GB, so now im confused

the first winrar archive i got was 2.5GB and when i extract it i get another one that is 4.25GB. Is it supposed to be like this, or is the download link maybe broken?

Nearly double size seems a bit much.

What was the name of the first file you downloaded, and the name of the files you extracted from that including file types.

WinRAR can sometimes make ISO files look like a winRAR file, so it's common to extract too many times without realizing that. I strongly believe you had the right file and extracted all of that other stuff out of it.

The first files name is Shin Megami Tensei - Persona 3 FES (USA), and the other one has the same name but all of those files in it

So was there no file extension? like .rar, .zip, .7z?

oh wait, that other one is .iso and im apparently blind. But ok, the game works fine and i thank you for all of your help
