Exclamation Project 64 Fatal Error message

I've been trying to solve a problem while playing "Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Master Quest". When adult Link gets captured by a Gerudo Guard, I always get "fatal error: stopping emulation" message. I'm currently using Project 64 version 2.3.2.202 and can't find a solution anywhere. I tried asking on their official forum, but no one has responded yet.

Can someone please help me solve this? I don't know what else to do. Google is no help.

I really have no idea which one I'm currently using. All I know is that the extension is .v64.

As I understand it the Master Quest is simply buggy on an N64 emulator. This is all the content cut from the original when they were designing it for the 64DD addon. The game was scaled back to Ocarina of Time for the N64. It was released on the gamecube with Windwaker and I guess people ripped it from that and converted it to a N64 rom.

A better bet may be grabbing the GC version and running it on Dolphin. Or just run Ocarina but of course you won't get the different harder layouts for the dungeons etc..

The only other thing I can think of is just to keep loading your save and keep trying until it gets past that point. Don't use savestates. But there's no guarantee this will work. I've seen tons of freeze and crash posts for this game for years and years.

I think I just fixed it. Someone on the official Project64 board was having the same problem with a different game (but same PJ64 version) and was instructed to change the CPU core style from "Recompiler" to "Interpreter". I tried that and it didn't crash!! That was beyond frustrating.

Thank you to everyone to helped.

Good to know!!! Wonder if that would work with other 64dd stuff.
