I bought Mercenaries for XBOX Original for 98 cents, and it's a great game That I still play all these many years later.

I bought a puzzle game called LYNE for a buck on Steam.

I have nearly 30 hours logged into it.

    I'd say that counts.

Not knowing what to expect, I paid ~$10 for a used copy of Morrowind GOTY. Put at least 200hrs in it.

Still easily my favorite game and the best $10 I ever spent.

As for more modern games, $4 for Hotline Miami was a steal. I was really skeptical of it, but great, great game.

I paid €15 for Destiny: The Collection for the PS4, and it's brilliant.

I can't say how many hours I logged in on Duke Nukem 3D. How many hours are in a year? 20 years?

I'm glad you mentioned that. I've started playing D3D many times but never finished it for some reason. No excuse, need to start again and right that wrong.

I played it so long because it has simple controls. 100s and 100s of levels available and just plain fun.

I'm a sucker for Steam sales, but for an actual physical release, I bought the original GTA for the PSX for £0.05 at a car boot sale once. Or Tearaway for a fiver. Or Championship Manager Italian leagues for season 93/94 for about a fiver also - this probably got the most play/pay ratio.
    Touch my twat.

OK so ive played oblivion 4 many years ago and also skyrim , recently found a old copy of oblivion 4 computer game in a secondhand shop 30 Rand like 3 dollars im guessing. One week has gone buy i am fighters guild blade master, also arena grand champion. I am now working in dark brotherhood mission ( oh yes i managed to close some oblivion gates here and there when i get bored. As for the main quest i still have to find the illegitimate air , the second quest rolf. Anyway as far as retaining my attention compared to skyrim its just on a whole nother lever as a computer game to me. I know skyrin has the better graphics but there is something about it that just makes it NOT iv... G- Police gosh i have forgotten about that bad boy.

    Hmm...

I've bought Papers, Please for PC for $5, and I still can't believe a paper-shuffling simulator is that engrossing.

FTL: Faster Than Light was a game I bought on sale for $5, then later spent $15 for the special edition one with the artwork and soundtrack because I liked it so much.

Castle Crashers was very good for less than $10.

I consider cheap less than $10 in new condition, by the way.

I once bought a physical copy of X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter used for $15 back in my 486 PC days.

I bought Wing Commander I,II,III,and IV for around $15 at a secondhand store. That was damn good.

I can't lie, I don't particularly like Duke3d; I don't know what it is, except that I'm not into Wolfenstein clones / Doomclones. Now, I love Duke & Duke 2 along with the Jill of the Jungle trilogy. Still have them on my PC today with DOSBox. Tim Sweeney was a great dev.

Do you remember Ken's Labyrinth? This game/creator started all the Wolfenstein, Doom and D3D games. I'd say he did good in the olden days.
