    Default X2 Wolverine's Revenge issue

    Hi there

I recently started using the pcsx2 emulator and am enjoying playing my favourite old games again. But there is one that doesn't seem to work and I was wondering if perhaps anyone had any possible fixes? It's X2: Wolverine's Revenge. I've tried both the USA and Europe ISOs and basically the game seems to work as it goes through the usual logos but right as it gets to the main menu the screen goes black. I can still hear the music and I can hear the menu interaction noises when I press buttons, I just can't see anything at all since the screen goes completely black.

I am not very tech savvy when it comes to these things so I don't want to mess around with the settings and accidentally screw something up, you know. I am aware that not all games will work with the emulator and if this is the case then that's fine, but given that it seems to kind of work and it's just the visuals that seem to be messed up, I was hoping someone might have a fix for me?

This requires a beefy machine. Try software mode to get past the black screen though. Config - Video - plugin settings. It'll be the second drop down field - try the various software ones. Try D3d9 (software) first.
