    Default Zip file is damaged

    Hi

I've been trying to download games for the past week and each time I try and open up the zip file I get the same message that says "The archive is either in unknown format or damaged". I have tried repairing it through winrar and nothing changes and if I try to explore the file through winrar I get the same error or if I try to extract conformation it says there are "No archives found in selected files and folders".
All the files are around 300mgb as well so I don't think I'm missing any of the download.
Has anyone else come across something like this?

    Cheers

if you don't have 7Zip I highly recommend to get it. alongside WinRAR (get the latest BETA version of that!!!) those will open up pretty much any 7z/RAR/zip archive.

    Is it a multipart zip?

If so make sure they are in the same folder (and that all parts have fully downloaded) use the latest 7zip and extract the first part only - could be a .rar with a bunch of numbered files or start with a .001 or .r01 file etc. but generally it will be at the top of the list. extract the first part and it will automatically extract the rest and put it all together.

    Phew!

Winrar isn't needed, I haven't used it for years.

    Spoiler warning:

Yeah so I've downloaded 7zip and extracted it. One was a .cue file and the other was a .bin file. Do I need to convert the .bin file or can I load that straight into an emulator?

    Cheers

Yup perfect. That's what you should have. You should be able to run from either.

Edit: Just curious, which game is it?
