Also why can't they make more old school style ones? Ya know like Arcade or PSN titles kinda like they did with Sonic 4. Instead of just trotting these stupid slightly higher res versions for every damn new system that comes along. Think it would do well.

I had an idea for a custom built pc and the last time I calculated it was around $300 without a case psu and gfx. I've convinced myself that I want a ps3 for gaming since most games I want to play I can play on that I need to check on prices but I think I can get one for around $100. I could use a new pc because my current laptop is 8 or 9 years old but it will have to wait till I get back to work which may not happen till spring seeing as my vehicle needs work(which could have gotten done weeks ago)as of last weekend the initial things that needed fixing are done but now it needs a new water pump I'm hoping I can get that done this weekend.

You should definitely be able to get a PS3 in that range. Hell it should include games at that price.

Also got an Xbox 360E, 250GB with 2 genuine controllers + 1 play & charge kit.

No. But worked out less than $20.
2015 build so it isn't the last year they were made but close enough.

PS3 fat 40GB should be less than $60, EB were selling them for around $80 iirc but that was with 12 month warranty.

cheapest price I seen was in the $80 range that was on ebay not much in my area on CL I wanted to check a game store out that I've shopped at before but I can't remember what it was called or where it was located.

I have to call B.S. on this one, people do still love old style games hence why GoG.com does well, also why Axiom Verge, Azure Striker and Sonic Mania are doing quite well (infact nintendo just put Axiom Verge on the switch XD) It isn't "because no one likes them", it's because it won't outsell their biggest titles and that is what companies want, i'd also add in lazyness. Put the effort behind it and people WILL buy it.

:edit: Just thought, my nephews liked modern games for a time till me and my brother started introducing them to things like Streets of Rage, Thunder Force, the old marios...everytime they visit now I have to break out the emulators or the SoR Remake XD even kids prefer old games if only for the challenge/fun factor (of which most new games lack now, both a challenge AND fun). I will admit people arn't to fond of old FPS but platformers, strats, puzzle games and beat em ups are still veddy valid (atleast this is what i have come to believe).

What's the point of retro style indie games when it's possible to port old PC classics? I'd rather have the latter tbh especially if they were never available on consoles (or the console releases were gimped versions).
But no, instead all we get is stupid retro style shovelware and HD remasters of console games that were last gen or already re-released last gen.
