New guy at work is pc master race. Was talking about his cousin having "a heap of xboxes setup in the garage for racing sessions".
Asked him about specifics and he got all confused about what the consoles actually are And which Forza game.

I just can't get over these guys knowing millions of variations of hardware, what's better etc and then can't tell the difference between an original Xbox, a 360 and a One.

it's a big reason why I stopped buying things off there prices are ridiculous around here on a lot of things(most of the things were worth anything new)

I was bored amd a little curious so I did some looking on cl for a cheap hdtv I seen several ads for old tube tv's with $75+ price tags, people seriously think they're worth anything anymore?!

If they're good tubes certain people are looking for them. Usually guys that build arcade cabinets.
But yeah you can still get stuff for free...it's just like a lot of things, people notice a demand for something old and try to make some money. Some of them might even be getting them for nothing and selling them.

it's mostly stuff from the early/mid 2000's and a few big screens from the 90's. alot of it is people taking free or discarded stuff and trying to re-sell.

have any of you done console mods before? I keep thinking about doing those a/v mods for my atari 2600 and odyssey 2 I've got 2 of each system though my 6 switch 2600 needs a new 3.5mm phone jack and the mod for the 6 switch looks a bit more complicated than the 4 switch.

Been a while since I did any mods involving soldering. PS2 Modbo 4.0 (Matrix Infinity clone) installation was probably the hardest thing I ever did myself.
