It's like like when I plugged in the 360 a couple nights ago and couldn't stand it for too long. Really get spoiled at higher resolutions. Can't imagine what 4k would be like
That's why I suggested getting that GPU up and running and seeing if anything from that MB was salvageable . Higher resolution and framerate is always good . You should run anisotropic filtering at 16X whenever you can get away with it if you aren't already.

This is a little more blurry than when I used to do this.
It's likely. Keeping cable runs as short as possible and avoiding extensions is always best if you can manage it. Have you tried different timings at that resolution? There are several if I remember correctly.

It can probably only do 1280x720 via vga even though the panel is capable of higher. If you look in the manual it might indicate supported resolutions for using it as a PC monitor, the highest resolution isn't always the highest you can get via other methods (video files via usb or BD etc via hdmi).

    Spoiler warning:

I would have transferred my vidcard over to that anyway, would have been better than a stock integrated Intel gpu. There was no chip on the board btw (cpu) yay I was right. The Motherboard was fucked too. Guess I could have kept the ps and case but who cares. Not like I don't find things here and there.

As for the vga cable thing pfffft come on. I'm dumb but not super dumb..

    Maybe.

I'm wondering if you got in running higher in the past by using hdmi.

since we're on the topic of video I have a question. what is a D AV cable? I was using my psp 2000 on my tv with a composite cable and tried running a psp game but I get a message saying I should use component or D av cable.

Yup. Hdmi is for main tv. Because like audio which comes from my gaming tv to my external speakers.
