it's just not my kind of rpg i never really cared for the diablo styled rpgs.

I prefer having a closer view of my character/s enemies surroundings. top down rpgs always made me feel like I'm playing a board game.

I'd like to play arx fatalis but it's keyboard only controls and has no full screen mode(not that that's a big issue)

Move the monitor closer ? Some newer games have added zoom functionality but I only ever scroll out.

Use a profiler like xpadder if you want to use a controller. And it should have fullscreen. Looked it up - you can change the cfg_default.ini and change Full_screen=0 to =1 and that should do the trick.

never thought to mess with the ini file. I don't want to use a controller I just wanted mouse look but last time I checked it out I didn't remember seeing an option for that. might have to grab it again since it's not very big.

I only played it long enough to figure out it didn't have mouse look. I got it downloading now.

You should look to see if there are any mods etc for it.
