Default Is this laptop good for light emulation?

I'm looking to buy a new laptop,
    I have a pc, I want a laptop.
I'm just wondering if this laptop can run anything up to the DS

I'm mostly concerned about GBA/Neo Geo and DS era stuff. Retro gaming
I don't fully expect it to run ps2 or mGameCube due to the heavy computation required, but I'd like to run the following
    NES
    SNES
    GBA
    PS1
    GENESIS/Megadrive
    Nintendo DS
    PSP

Here's the laptop specs I'm interested in
Tell me how good it is for emulation and overall gaming.

It runs an AMD A12 9720p SoC processor, which is 2.7GHz with 8GBs of ram,

And it has an AMD Radeon r7 "Bristol Ridge" Intergrated Graphics chip,

If you need more info just pm me and I'll show you the model or I can show you the benchmarks for the Chip. I'm not sure if it's ok to post links in the message so until somebody says it's ok, just PM me.

If it is ok to post links, I'll post the links to the benchmark and laptop itself

    I think you'll be ok.

Sure go ahead and post a link to the laptop specs.

I have a feeling that laptop will do just fine with stuff like PPSSPP/Desmume and RetroArch .

Only issue I see is ...............Windows 10.
THE BEST METHOD to run PSX games (and everything else for that matter) is via Retroarch - http://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/
If you have any questions on how to set it up on Windows please feel free to ask, its very easy.

I know, I've never used windows 7 personally, But I've heard "stuff" about 10.

All the old emulators I listed run fine on my 2007 vista 😂
But that's a whole 'nother beast.
Hence why I'm checking with everybody here to make sure.

Edit: I am worried because stuff like PCSX2 (which I've never used except once) doesn't work with Intergrated at all.

Pcsx2 will work with integrated. Just not very well depending on the game and which integrated gpu. Intel ones for example are just garbage.

I've had so many problems with dolphin and PCSX2 on my desktop
And I've never used an AMD so I have no clue what will work and won't

The developers of PCSX2 advice to NOT run PCSX2 on integrated graphics , dedicated videocard only.

Reason behind that warning is your integrated graphics will................melt.

Yep. Killed a couple laptops myself doing this. It'll work, but only for so long I guess. Software mode helps a little though. Probably should have mentioned this myself before too.

That's what I read but I'm not a huge fan of the PSXC2 emulator anyway
I'm more worried about NES,SNES,64, PS1, Genesis, DS and GBA

I don't have the laptop right now so it doesn't matter. And again, I'm more concerned about OTHER emulators.
    The ones I listed.

Welp anyways in the end should be no problem running anything below ps2 emulation barring the odd troublesome/compatibility issue game.

I've been running emulators more so then regular pc games.
But I've tried to run the PS2 emulator on my old desktop and it just had massive slowdown and occasional working. I found the PPSSP emulator to be more fun.

I just really hope it can run that.
    PPSSPP is Incredible

I can run PPSSPP perfectly fine on my average laptop so you are going to be perfectly fine as long as the CPU is quite modern.

You will be able to run all those classic systems too with no issues, I highly recommend RetroArch for a majority of the classic systems (feel free to ask me to give you a hand setting it up)

Given the fact that the CPU is from this year I believe it shouldn't be a problem. And I've always done it via the emulators. Never heard of or used "Retroarch"
