Hello.
Trying to find a translation of Brandish 2, I found this page:
http://www.romhacking.net/translatio...s/patches/1442
Which contains a zip file with this readme:
http://www.romhacking.net/translatio...1442readme.txt
Which says, among other things:
I cannot find the rom with this checksum. And I also do not know what a headerless rom is (never heard of them). May you help me with both problems? This patch was designed for the NORMAL version of Brandish 2.
In other words, the EXPERT version is not (yet) supported.
Development was made on a headerless ROM with CRC32 BB89E67E (recommended).
Headerless ROM size should be 3,145,728 bytes. Headered ROMs are not supported.
Either hardpatch the IPS to a ROM or have an emulator auto-apply the patch.
For the latter, simply rename the IPS file to match your ROM's filename.
The rom I have, probably downloaded from emuparadise, has:
1. Name:
"Brandish 2 - The Planet Buster (J).smc"
(or .zip, which was the only file that existed until I found the patch above).
2. 3158016 bytes
3. crc32 = e116ea93
4. md5sum = 35ca38a0bae0f83e0844a0671ca27e5f
I tried to use that IPS file with snes9x, it just does not work, probably because it is a different rom.
Waiting for someone to reply, I decided to check if the rom I have was emuparadise one... it was not!
Further, just to make you laugh, the CRC32 of the rom was correct, but I never saw an SFC file! It worked.
Why not having this translated rom in EP?
