Load the standard Beetle PSX core (not HW) then go to information>core information then see if it says present where the bios files are listed.

Please take your time learning RetroArch and do not get discouraged, I will try to help you the best I can.

RetroArch may seem overwhelming but its truly easy once you understand the basics.
