Default Save states for gamecube games on wii homebrew?

I'm perfectly capable of using memory cards, but I want save states instead. I'm going to play Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, starting from the beginning, and my only beef with that game is not being able to save in the dungeons. So if there's a way to use a save state, saving progress whenever I want, that'd be great.

I downloaded Nintendont. Is there a way to use save states with it? Or, I know Dolphin supports save states, will it work with Wii homebrew? It has to be on the wii, my laptop won't run Dolphin. Also if there's another way, please tell me.

    Thanks in advance!

GameCube is not homebrew on the Wii it uses official emulation that does not support save states, the only thing homebrew are the launchers but none support save states, so you are out of luck there

That is unfortunate...does Dolphin not have a wii port? How hard would that be to set up? Because I did some googling and it looks like it might.

If not, what would you recommend I do? Would it be easier to get an xbox 360 and softmod it, or invest in a better laptop? What do you think would be cheaper? My brother has an xbox 360 but I really don't think he'd let me if I asked.

I also own a ps2, can those be softmodded?

A PS2 can be softmodded to play PS2 games from DVD only or Network or from an internal HDD depends on the model of PS2
Internal PS2 HDD can only be done with a Fat/Bulky PS2 with a Network adaptor that also doubles up as a way to hook up an IDE HDD the other options are also available
Slim PS2 can be soft moddd to run from Network and DVD but not all slim models the latest model blocks the mod

a 360 mod can only be done on certain models and certain firmwares if I remember correctly and you may need extra hardware to be able to mod it also (I never modded my 360)

Nope Dolphin is not ported to PS2, 360 or Wii

If you insist on using save states you will need a PC the is capable of running Dolphin there is no real other option, the Android port is not worth even trying at this stage

Just in case nobody has warned you: relying on save states is a bad idea. If something goes horribly wrong you won't be in a happy place.

    Spoiler warning:
