How do I play Original megami tensei on an emulator? please help.

Hi guys I'm fairly new at this. now I want to play the og megami tensei's english patched version, but when I extract it, it is a raedme.txt (text document) and a .bps file which the emulators won't load, I'm using the fceux and my nes emulator. please help me if you can. Thanks in advance.

You need the game. All you have is the patch file.

SMT, already patched with the English translation, is available thru the SNES section of the main EP site, so you don't need the translation patch file or a patcher.
