Default Gameshark 4.0 (disc) - I'm a lost newbie.... please help (specifically Resident Evil 2 Dual Shock)

    Hi,

I was able to get the Gameshark 4.0 ISO. I am using a PS2 Slim (with Free McBoot and related applications) and I've done the tape, tissue, straw mod so the lid stays open and the disc can be swapped. I launch the Gameshark 4.0 ISO and I see all the games and codes. I select "Resident Evil 2" and go the Start Game "With Codes". I then put in my original PS2 Dual Shock Resident Evil 2 copy and push "X" as instructed.

    The game launches.

What next? How do I activate the codes? Where is that magnum or bazooka I was hoping for?

Please help. I have no idea how to actually activate the codes. I have search the forums and the web for "Gameshark 4.0 disc" instructions but have not found any. Any ideas?

Please help. Maybe I am missing a piece of hardware also?

    Thanks.

Grab the Xplorer/Xploder Cheat CD also (It's a better cheat CD to start with) it uses Codebreaker and Xploder/Xplorer codes aswell as RAW codes though Action Replay/Game Shark RAW codes will need to be slightly altered to work on that CD

Advice for any Cheat device or CD

Make sure the codes you are using are for the correct region of the game or if the game has more than one revision the codes will need to be correct for that also

If the game codes have a Master code or (M) code this must also be enabled

If a code has an activator code as well as the main code then the code description will tell you what to press
If it does not then the code always active

You may of put in a code that starts with the item in the crate, in that case you need to get to the first create in the game it may not be in the first crate slot either so you may need to scroll through to find the item

If you used a code to start with an item in your hand then check your inventory and equip it to or unequipped the item and re-equip it for it to work correctly

Also note that there are codes for each disc be that the Clair disc or Leon disc
