    Default Can't make Retroarch work

First of all, sorry if this is the wrong place to put this.

This is my first time trying to emulate games, so I'm a complete and total noob. I downloaded Retroarch because people told me it was the best way to emulate games. Then I went to EmuParadise and downloaded three SNES roms I wanted to play. Booted up Retroarch, but it couldn't find those files. I unzipped the files, but it still can't find them. I have them in my downloads folder so I know I'm looking in the right place, but no matter what I do it can't find them. How do I fix this? Thanks!

You will download the appropriate Core through the Retroarch menus. It is likely that Retroarch won't recognize the file type without the Core.

And please make sure to put threads in the right section. Since you are asking about SNES this should go in the Nintendo Systems section. Welcome to EmuParadise.

Thanks! Sorry, I wasn't sure if I should have put it in Nintendo because of Nintendo games, or in PC because I'm playing on one. Anyway, I did download the core on Retroarch. It still can't find it.

I don't know for sure but you may need a BIOS pack. What is the file extension of the games after you unzip them, and do you have the zip files in the same folder?

I find it's a lot easier to make a folder for your games in the C:\ drive or your root folder. This makes it much faster to find them in Retroarch's horribly cumbersome menus.

You would really have a much easier time using a specific SNES emulator. Retroarch can be simpler for running games for Playstation or other systems whose emulators are plugin based, with 95%+ compatibility for PS1. But if you don't know how to set Retroarch up, system specific emulators are the way to go.

If you must use Retroarch, send a PM to Warrior. He's the resident Retroarch guru here.
